Turns out, the property has these rich, alluvial soils—and with the advice of his good friend, Jim Regusci, Doc decided it would be a great place to grow grapes. That’s right: 2.5 acres of clone 337 Cabernet Sauvignon planted 101-14 rootstock—in Downtown St. Helena. Right next to the St. Helena Veterinary Hospital, Our first vintage of T-Vine Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Doc Gold Vineyard will be released in the Fall of 2010. |



Dr. David Gold (we call him “Doc”) arrived in St. Helena in 1990 from South Africa. Pretty exotic, we thought. He was searching Napa Valley for a location for his veterinarian practice when he stumbled upon a 4-acre parcel on Main Street in St. Helena.
